The Hollywood Honeys Spring Shake Up promo
The 24th of September was a sentimental evening of song as The Hollywood Honeys sung farewell to their beloved red head, cabaret loving songbird Miss Kitty Van Horne. Our lovely Kitty has spread her wings to Melbourne town ( their gain, our loss ) so we wanted to send her off in vintage vocal style.
Joined by Simon ‘The Senator’ Bartlett’s 8 piece swing band The Cocktail Cabinet with special guests Chuck Morgan on guitar and Dave Seidel on Bass we played all our favourite Hollywood Honeys tunes to a sold out house at Marickville’s Django bar.
The dance floor was full, the energy high and laughter filled the room. It was such a fitting send off to one of the most wonderful ladies I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and such a delight to work with.
We will miss you darling Kitty! Can’t wait to see what magical adventures you have in Melbourne and we hope you’ll come back to sing with us again soon.
On a brighter note Sara Jeanne and I have decided to continue The Hollywood Honeys and we have our first rehearsal with our newest members this coming Saturday. Watch this space for updates on our new combo and we will share our upcoming gig dates with you very soon.
