Pia’s professional singing experience has as much diversity as her influences Beginning in musical theatre as a young child,moving to clubs and bars in early adulthood , She has studied Jazz at the Conservatorium of Music in Sydney and has also been the featured voice in many Triple M radio jingles and voice overs.
For the last five years Pia has been setting stages alight with her sophisticated glamour and energetic live shows. Pia plays with a variety of Sydney bands including the 8 piece Cocktail Swing band the ‘ The Cocktail Cabinet’ , 15 piece ‘Black and White Big Band,’ and 7 piece Jump Blues outfit ‘ The Hollywood Hombres’.
She also performs regularly with Australian rockabilly legend Pat Capocci and her own combo Miss Pia and her Lonesome Playboys with whom she is currently working on original material for the release of her first solo ‘EP’
The combined styles of these groups provide her with the opportunity to utilise her extensive repertoire, performing nostalgic standards, classic rhythm and blues, a touch of soul, something that swings and a whole lot of rock ‘n’ roll.
