Pia’s professional singing experience has as much diversity as her influences. Beginning in musical theatre as a young child, moving to clubs and bars in early adulthood , She has studied Jazz at the Conservatorium of Music in Sydney and has also been the featured voice in many Triple M radio jingles and voice overs.
For the last 10 years Pia has been setting stages alight with her sophisticated glamour and energetic live shows. Pia plays with a variety of Sydney bands including her own jazz combo, the 8 piece Cocktail Swing band the ‘ The Cocktail Cabinet’ , 15 piece ‘Black and White Big Band,’ and vintage vocal group The Hollywood Honeys.
She performs regularly with her own Western Swing, Rockabilly Boogie band Miss Pia and the French Tailors with whom she is currently working on original material for the release of her first solo ‘EP’ The combined styles of these groups provide her with the opportunity to utilise her extensive repertoire, performing nostalgic standards, classic rhythm and blues, a touch of soul, something that swings and a whole lot of rock ‘n’ roll.

Pia’s classy sounds and extensive repertoire guarantee to create the perfect mood for any occasion. Heavily influenced by the vocal stylings of Peggy Lee, Julie London and Anita O’day, in jazz mode Pia performs a mix of classic standards and obscure gems that provide the perfect soundtrack to an intimate soiree, a romantic wedding or a sophisticated party.

Miss Pia is a Vintage Pin Up who has been lost to the speakeasies of Sydney, torching cocktail jazz for the last few years. It seems only fitting that a modern day Mae West with the curves to prove it gets pulled back into line with her new band The French Tailors.Guitar slinger Stuie French will be picking up trouble with his well respected badge of blues, Artie Taylor will be slapping his Bass sewing the lines of a lover with a steel string heart and George Washingmachine will weave rich harmonies with his trusty fiddle and velvet voice and Adam Barnard will keep this troupe in step with his rim shot sounds and trusted rhythm and blues. With this well tailored line up Miss Pia makes a welcome return to her rockabilly roots.Sultry Blues and Wantonly seductive rhythms, A rockin’ groove with a western swing.
